Kayla Lauren Wyatt is a rising 14 year-old performer from Covington, Georgia. She has been acting, singing and dancing since the age of 6. Her acting debut was in 2011 in a featured role in BET’s Reed Between The Lines. Since then she has appeared in numerous films such as 42, Tyler Perry’s Single Mom’s Club and Madea’s Witness Protection. She has held supporting roles in "Blacbutterflii – The Saigon Ruse Story", Charmin Lee’s series “Conversations” and The Peoples Network "Flags on Field". She recently co-starred in a short film by Hidefsoul Films titled "My Hue of Blue" which won Honorable Mention Short Film in The Peoples Film Festival in Harlem, NY and earned her a nomination as Best Supporting Actress in a Short Film by the Short Film Awards (SOFIES) in New York. Although Kayla loves being in front of the camera, her passion is singing and performing on stage. Kayla recently wrote and recorded her first song Stand Tall, produced by Hungry Artiz. With the assistance of Hungry Artiz and Yvonne Pierre, she was able to film a video in support of her song. Stand Tall was offically released on March 27, 2016. Since the release of Stand Tall, Kayla has been invited to schools, community events and local awards shows to not only perform her song but to also speak about her stand against bullying. She has also been privileged to appear on talk shows and has been featured in a number of local newspaper outlets. Her song also received radio airplay on 102.6 The Situation WSTN-DB. Through these outlets she has been able to share with others her view on bullying and the need to Stand Tall against it. Kayla is a Freshman in the Academy of Liberal Arts at her local high school where she is also a dancer with the marching band. She is also a Peer Leader and a School Council Representative. Kayla’s dream is to make music, movies, etc. that will make a positive impact in the lives of her young peers.
