Prof. Iade Gesso

Iade Gesso received the BSc and the MSc degrees in Computer Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2006 and 2009 respectively, attending the courses of the curricula “Design and Development of Information Systems”. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca in the February 2013 with a thesis entitled “Making End-Users Autonomous in the Design of their Active Documents”. He had two post doctoral fellowships from the Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of the University of Milano-Bicocca within the projects “Communication Supports in Corporate Social Networks” and “Development of a Platform to Design Document-based Information Systems”. His research interests ranges from the Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) to the End-User Development (EUD) and Visual Languages, with the aim to support collaboration through digital documental artifacts making them flexible as their paper-based counterparts. In 2012, he worked as intern at the Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE). In his professional background, he acquired strong competencies in both software development and system administration. Currently he works as teacher of Computer Science in High Schools and as tutor in some practical courses of the bachelor degree at the Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of the University of Milano-Bicocca.
