Ashaki O. Charles

Ashaki O. Charles is an advancement executive with two decades of experience leading transformational philanthropic growth and cross-functional teams across higher education and academic health systems.

Throughout her career, she has partnered with CEOs, board members, families, clinical, and philanthropic leaders securing six, seven, and eight figure gifts at premier institutions including Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Rutgers University. She has built and mentored high-performing teams across public and private sectors, adept at building stakeholder partnerships, and advanced key initiatives including student aid, faculty excellence, curricular innovation, emergency funding, and capital renovations in comprehensive campaigns up to $5B.

Ashaki holds an Ed.M. in Higher Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, and dual undergraduate degrees in Communication and English at the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she was an active and engaged student leader on campus.
