Grace Henriquez
Staff Frontend Engineer, Platform Engineer, and UX Engineer
I operate at Staff level, building and scaling enterprise frontend platforms that power millions of users. Where UX and architecture evolve together across complex, regulated environments.
My passion began early. At 13, I built my first SQL database in Cuba and started exploring why some products feel effortless, while the underlying systems are often complex.
Over 15+ years, I’ve driven platform initiatives that:
• Reduced UI maintenance by ~40% and accelerated delivery by ~30%
• Scaled design systems adopted by 2,000+ developers across 20+ applications
• Powered platforms used by millions across HR SaaS, healthcare, pharma, and diagnostics.
I work hands-on at the intersection of engineering and UX systems, aligning architecture, delivery, and user experience to ensure platforms scale without accumulating hidden complexity.
A turning point for me: I realised “good UI” isn’t a layer — it’s a delivery system. That’s why I deepened my design skills with a Master’s in Interaction Design, sharpening my ability to translate messy constraints into clean, scalable interaction systems.
What I focus on (platform-first):
• Frontend platform architecture & governance for multi-team ecosystems
• Design systems as infrastructure (tokens, components, adoption strategy, DX)
• UX engineering for complex workflows and accessibility
• Performance, reliability, and observability-ready UI as platform capabilities.
Core stack: Angular, React, TypeScript, NgRx/Redux, RxJS, design tokens, WCAG-minded accessibility, CI/CD, enterprise-scale UI architecture.
I’m open to Staff-level frontend platform roles and selective conversations around enterprise frontend governance and system-level UX.
Outside work: scuba diving, underwater photography, dancing, animal shelter support, and collecting stories through travel.
My guiding principle is to build platforms that scale without requiring users or teams to pay the complexity tax.
