Daizer Belacas
BC Certified Teacher in Greater Vancouver Area
I am a BC Certified Teacher through the Teacher Regulation Branch, with a background in secondary education and a strong passion for supporting diverse learners in inclusive classroom environments.
I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English in the Philippines and spent several years teaching before expanding my professional experience internationally. For over a decade, I worked in administrative and organizational roles while continuing to serve in volunteer teaching and ministry settings, supporting children and youth through education and mentorship. These experiences strengthened my communication, adaptability, and commitment to learner-centered teaching.
After completing my Master’s degree in Administrative Science (Human Resource Administration) in Canada, I have continued to pursue my goal of returning to the classroom in British Columbia. My experience working within the healthcare system in Vancouver has further enhanced my ability to work in high-pressure environments, collaborate with diverse teams, and respond to the needs of individuals with empathy and professionalism.
As an educator, I am passionate about creating engaging, culturally responsive lessons that build confidence, critical thinking, and a love for learning. I am particularly interested in supporting immigrant and second-generation students as they navigate identity, language, and academic growth.
