iamfingazz.com hails from the village of Boca, St. George’s Grenada and from his early days as a student at Boca Secondary School he showed promise, charm and cheek becoming one of the popular and influential students of class 1991 although back then his nicknames were “indian” & “apache”.

He raised funds and co-managed the School Band with fellow students like General Pepe and the all star Tallpree! After all, it was Boca Secondary School’s 1st official year and students were eager to show potential, skill & talent!

Under the wing of DJ Harrow from St. David’s, he learnt the fundamental skills of pitch, tempo and frequencies; to listen for that hook to create that smooth clean mix but more importantly read the crowd (otherwise it’s back on the bench with a clap behind the ear)!

These new skills came in handy for the schools festivals’ circuits such as BSS, Happy Hill, & the pinnacle Anglican High School. Fingazz no longer had to carry the speaker boxes and “string up” the sound, he was dropping the jams and his popularity grew.

With that popularity he didn’t only play exclusively with DJ Harrow but also on rotation across the country as a guest DJ with popular sounds as DJ Vicor, DJ Hotwax & DJ Small Clothes at venues such as Fantasia, the Limes, various village dances across the island and prestigious hotel events.

London met Fingazz in 1994 and he quickly got involved with Notting Hill Carnival playing with various Masbands on this international stage. In 2000 he was offered the unique opportunity to join Beat FM as a Radio Presenter moving to Street FM in 2001 until 2004. 2002 he won the “Soca On The Move” competition with BBC’s Smokey Joe of Awawak Masband at the Notting Hill Carnival and that did not stop Fingazz as he then became the Event Manager for Notting Hill Carnival from 2002 – 2007. 2010 Fingazz joined the Riddimstream Family http://www.riddimstream.com in the distribution of Caribbean media.
