1. What was your title when you began working at HTC?
Switchboard Operator
2. Tell us a little bit about your family.
Since working at HTC I have added two daughters Kendra and Kara (who are my best friends), two son-in-laws Brandon Hooks and Cliff Poston(they became my sons) and one granddaughter Kadence Young Poston who is the most wonderful blessing.
3. What are your hobbies or special interest?
My biggest interest right now is spending time with Kadence. She is so much fun. Last week-end she was Cinderella and I was Rapunzel. Ask Russell how he enjoys his hair and make-up sessions with his granddaughter. The things you will do with the grand’s. I do enjoy working in my yard, shopping with my sisters, wedding planning and interior decorating.
4. Tell us of any special customers you have connected with and how you formed that connection.
Shortly after becoming employed at HTC I met a customer by the name of Joe Benanty. We met 32 years ago. When he needed assistance he would always call me or come in and see me. His home was Philadelphia and he made Murrells Inlet his home after retirement. He always attended HTC’s annual Meeting and would come find me to say hello and tell me a joke. About five years ago he attended the annual meeting and came to me to introduce his fiancé. They were both 86 years of age. He asked me if I would attend his wedding and stand with him as family. I was so honored to have a customer ask this of me. Unfortunately Mr. Benanty has now passed away but I will never forget his loyalty to HTC and how he would always have such positive things to say about the service he received. I am honored to have known him.
