Michael Brown

Music is something more then an art to me. It's a living, breathing thing. It has emotion and can make you feel emotion. It can take you on a journey to the farthest stretches of your imagination, but also make you feel safe; make you feel home. Music is my best friend. Music is my life.

I was born and raised in and around Chicago, IL and knew from a very young age that music would surround me for the rest of my life. Music is something that has always made me feel comfortable, and at ease, and I take great pleasure in that. I have always understood music in a way that others would understand science or biology. I started playing music as soon as I could, and continue to learn any instruments I can get my hands on and my head around.

I have attended Berklee College of Music and received Specialist Certificates in both Guitar, and Studio Production. I moved back to Chicago, IL in the summer of 2008 to continue to pursue a career as a professional musician with the band A Lull. Since then, I have released records under Lujo Records (US), Mush Records (US), and Something In Construction (EU), signed with Banter Management, signed with a booking agent at Flower Booking, signed with a licensing agent at Windish Agency, and work with a number of publicist from Tell All Your Friends to Terrorbird. While I'm not on tour I work at the live music venues Schubas Tavern and Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL. In June of 2012 I will have completed a Bachelors Degree from Full Sail University. I am very into the business side of the music industry and am hoping to own my own music venue someday. I'm looking forward to graduation and taking my career to the next level.
