I am Sam Allgood. I have lived in three very different places in my life. I grew up in Dublin, Georgia for the first part of my life. Dublin is a very small town in Middle Georgia of only around 15,000 people. Because of this, I always found Dublin to be a very close-knit community and was used to living in a place like that. I loved living in Dublin at the time, but I lated moved to Atlanta for high school which was a very different experience.
Once I began to live in Atlanta, I realized how much different my experience there would be compared to Dublin. Since Atlanta has over 500,000 people, it was very hard for me to adjust to living in a bigger and more overwhelming place. I learned to embrace the differences between the two cities, which helped me adjust a lot. I believe that this transition helped me learn things about myself and helped me become more adaptable as a person. Before moving, I was very opposed to any sort of change, but after I was much more open to change. Because of this, when I moved for the third time, to Athens, I was very open to the change and the new experience. Additionally, I found it interesting that Athens felt like the perfect city for me to move to, as it was the half-way point between Dublin and Atlanta in many ways.
