Lovell Cooper a.k.a. U-P has over twenty five plus years producing, recording and mixing in the music industry. U-P holds a wealth of knowledge and experience in Hip-Hop and R&B as well as gospel, blues, jazz & country. One of the most recognized locally-based producers, his work with multi-platinum rap artist's such as Lil Wayne, Juvenille and Baby Boy Da Prince achieved huge commercial success's, including multiple RIAA Platinum-certified albums. Recently U-P has worked with and mixed records for Pell of GLBL WRMNG, $AMO HEUNG of The Beggaz (Wu-Tang Killa Bees) and Benji. of Spillage Village including his new single RADIO along with a list of his students both present and former from Loyola University New Orleans.

U-P co-founded New Orleans-based Extreme Entertainment, which later became a subsidiary of Universal Republic Records as well as Palmyra Street Productions, LLC and Fresh Music Group, LLC. Among his achievements, U-P is now also one of the architects of the B.S. in Hip-Hop & R&B at LOYOLA UNIVERSITY NEW ORLEANS (The first of it’s kind in the world) as well as the Recording Studios Manager and Professor of the Practice of Hip Hop & R&B.
