Hey there…I'm Subrata Roy. I'm from India and currently enjoying the air of Kolkata "city of joy". I'm a computer guy (IT professional) by profession. I'm a Bachelor of Technology degree holder in Computer Science and Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology. And now I’m working for Tech Mahindra. I love traveling to different places as they take my mind off the things and one of the major perks that come along is that you got to know different cultures. Kolkata is the place I always wanted to be and now I'm. This is the only place where you can find the real Bong flavor, which I always wanted to a part of. Being an Army kid, I have travelled so many places with my family but when I used to hear stories about Kolkata from my dad who had spent most of his childhood here, I used to get super excited. I remember those awesome days when we used to travel to our native place Jalpaiguri from Chennai via Kolkata during my summer vacations. It was a break journey of 6 hours as we had to change trains at Kolkata. For me those 6 hours were like the best part of the vacation. The colorful crowd of this city, splendid yellow cabs with a straight blue line and the jaw dropping architecture of the Howrah Bridge. I was in love with this place. 'Foodie and Traveler' these are the traits that I've got from my dad, well my maa is also a major contributor in making me a complete foodie with her delicious cuisines. Thanks to my dad's job due to which we used to get the opportunity to travel from place to place every two years. If I write down the places I've been with my parents they are-Nasik (where I was born), Jammu, Dehradoon, Gangtok, Chennai, Raiwala (Dehradoon), Faridkot, Simla, Ferozpur and Amritsar. I might have missed a couple of places we used to visit during my summer and winter vacations. So in this way the traveler in me was born. Currently I'm exploring the length and breadth of Kolkata. And to give myself a good company I take my blue Nikon CoolPix along. Cooking is something I can never brag off. I have the worst culinary skills one could ever imagine. In my maiden attempt to make noodles, it took me around two hours and I ended up making soup out of it. But I love food made by my maa. Other than food I like music, blogging, clicking photographs, business, automobiles and cricket.
