Ian Ferguson

Hello my name is Ian Ferguson and I love to spend a majority of my time in the gym. As someone who overthinks everything in life, spending time lifting weights, running, or boxing can slow down the pace of my life. Spending time in the weight room changed my life for the better, especially cause I used to be extremely small and I was often picked on. I’ve been lifting weights for 5 years and I figured out that the quality of my life increases exponentially when I dedicate a respectable portion of my time in the weight room. When I was sixteen years old, I took up boxing. People call me crazy but getting beat up can actually make your life better as well. Taking punishment not only conditions you to deal with pain, it makes humble as well. Boxing teaches you to deal with adversity in life and even overturn it in your own favor. Due to various injuries, it’s been hard to consistently run for a while. But when I can run, I don’t think about a single thing in the world. It simply allows me to clear my head because the only thing I focus on is finishing my decided route, nothing else enters my mind. The gym is my sanctuary and is a major part of who I am.
