Ian Fichtenbaum

Ian Fichtenbaum is a leading expert on commercial aerospace and satellite ventures, with a focus on corporate transactions and investments. Primarily, he serves as Senior Vice President of the American Industrial Acquisition Corporation ("AIAC") where he seeks aerospace and satellite related acquisitions and oversees the operations of AIAC company Bradford Engineering, a Netherlands-based spacecraft component builder. In addition, he is a Venture Partner with NextGen Venture Partners and an Advisor to the Board of XO Markets, the holding company of NanoRacks

Previously, he had been a Vice President and Associate at Near Earth LLC, a space and satellite focused investment bank. At Near Earth, Ian has been involved in a variety of advisory projects, assisting transactions for businesses, private equity/venture capital firms and hedge funds. Some of his assignments have included helping startups to access venture and growth capital as well as large companies assess acquisition strategies. Coverage focus included satellite services, geospatial services, digital media, telematics, aerospace systems and commercial spaceflight services.

Hailing from Canada, Ian is a graduate of the Master of Management program at the University of British Columbia in 2006 as well as a B.Eng. at McGill University in 2004. In addition, Ian is also a proud alumnus of the International Space University, having participated in the 2006 Space Studies Program in Strasbourg, France.
