I spent a summer in Nepal a few years ago teaching English in overcrowded classrooms filled with excited and ambitious students and organizing community events beneath the massive and jaw-dropping prescence of the Himalayas. My time in Nepal was brief--too brief--but I grew a conviction to make an impact. Since my experience in Nepal, I've sought opportunities in my (albeit brief) career that have taken me from Paris to Pokhara that would allow me to grow a unique, fresh worldview and develop relationships and skills that I see are critical to the highly globalized world today. I've been in a number of different environments so far in my very short career: I've worked with non-profits in Boston, startups in Columbus, a multi-billion dollar corporation in Chicago, and volunteer work at Harvard's Museum of Natural History, which have all challenged to grow, to be curious, and to build relationships.
I graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Economics and International Studies and am seeking an opportunity to make an impact, learn as much as I can, and build off the leadership and project management skills I've learned so far. I am currently a student at StartUp Institute in Boston taking Sales and Account Management classes to learn sales techniques, and also sharpen my communication, business managment, and teamwork skills.
I want to be challenged and-pardon the cliché-leave the world a better place than when I entered.
