Ian Boyland

Luxembourg

I currently act as a director or manager for a number of regulated investment funds and unregulated investment vehicles, supporting hedge fund and private equity investment managers. I also act as risk manager for a self managed SICAV.

I began working with BlackDog in March 2013, joining from Citibank where I was Director and Head of Operations. Other previous roles included Head of Accounting Services and NAV validation at JPMorgan and Head of Accounting for the UK and Luxembourg for Fidelity. My roles provided me with experience of all aspects of fund administration, servicing traditional long funds, alternative investments, private equity and micro-finance products. Along with managing the fund valuation process I have also been responsible for financial reporting, corporate secretarial services, AML and KYC monitoring, client and shareholder communications and operational risk management.

During the course of my career I have supported many fund and legal vehicle boards, covering jurisdictions such as Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Mauritius and the UK, in addition to Luxembourg.

I qualified as an accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1994 and received the International Certificate in Risk Management from The Institute of Risk Management in 2013.
