Ian is an alumnus of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance. Since assuming control of Middleton Meyers in 2013, Ian has significantly shaped the company's trajectory through innovative property management and investment strategies, considerably enhancing its footprint in the industry. In 2021, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Selwyn Equity Partners, which aims to identify and steer investment opportunities.

His career includes a noteworthy consultancy stint at Blackstone in 2013, where he drew upon his extensive financial management and real estate investment acumen. He also served as President at Envolve Networks from 2012 to 2013, where he was pivotal in driving the company's strategic initiatives and overseeing its operations.

Additionally, he was the Managing Director at NewBridge Partners from 2009 to 2011, where he managed the firm's investment strategies and spearheaded business development. Earlier, he was Vice President of Marketing at Ark Group from 2005 to 2006, orchestrating the company's marketing strategies and promotional activities.
