Ian Fincher

Ian Fincher grew up with an early interest in how businesses operate and how economic forces shape financial outcomes. That interest led him to earn bachelor's degrees in both Accounting and Economics, a combination that continues to inform how he approaches his work. He is based in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he practices as a Certified Public Accountant.

As a Senior Auditor, Ian Fincher performs financial statement audits across major accounts, prepares reports and disclosures, and applies data analysis to assess risk and develop testing expectations. His experience includes audit, review, and compilation engagements, adjusting journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset and amortization schedules. He has also audited employee benefit plans, including 401(k) plans, and has worked with government entities and nonprofit organizations on accounting and compliance matters. He earned his CPA license in February 2024. He supports clients using QuickBooks Online and Desktop and works extensively in Microsoft Excel.

Fincher keeps up with business and economic trends outside of work and is interested in financial literacy as a broader topic. He plays chess, makes time for fitness and travel, and prioritizes spending time with family and friends.
