Based in the Australian Capital Territory, Ian's professional experience ranges from Development and Project Management to Expert Valuations for Financial Reporting, Development Finance, Fair Value and Statutory Compliance including Taxation.

Degree qualified (UQ) as a Property Valuer/Chartered Surveyor/Real Estate Appraiser with Post Graduate study (UTS) in Urban Estate Management, Ian has experience in a wide array of real estate classes and has led Master Planning projects including sustainable site remediation and rehabilitation.

Ian has sailed all of his life, including competing in the Sydney - Hobart Yacht race. He also contributes to sailing regattas as a Race Official with recent appointments to International and National Juries at regattas in Australia, Argentina and the USA. Other regatta roles include being appointed as Chief Umpire at Mar del Plata International Sailing Week and the Harken International Youth Match Racing Championships; and Principal Race Officer for the Asia Pacific Sailing Champions League. Ian is also an IRC/ORC and Official Class Measurer.

Ongoing involvement with professional and sailing communities are as a RICS APC Assessor and Corporate Trainer along with conducting seminars on behalf of Australian Sailing for National Judges and Race Officers.

Ian grew up on Lake Macquarie where his passion for sailing and interest in real estate ranging from lifestyle properties to industrial facilities began.
