Ian Midgley

Ian Midgley is a director and co-executive producer of feature-length documentaries, docu-series, branded content, and music videos. After spending years traveling and directing independent documentary content, he began working in unscripted television as a producer/shooter with a strong background in cinematography and has since applied his refined eye and innate sense of narrative to overseeing story and editing departments on docu-seies. His work is known for capturing the depth of characters through intimate moments, cinematic imagery, rhythmic editing, and powerful story arcws.

He has created content for clients such as PBS, Viceland, NBC/Universal, Oxygen, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Huffington Post, Ableton, Sony, and Arista Records, and has collaborated on projects at TIME video and the NPR program ʻWeekend Editionʼ.
