General Surgeon in United States
I am a general surgeon and healthcare leader with a career focused on patient care, innovation, and teamwork. Over the years, I have served as a former chief of surgery, former medical staff president, former medical director of a breast center, former medical director of wound care and hyperbaric medicine, and lead robotic surgeon. My work has always centered on helping patients while supporting the teams and systems that make healthcare possible.
I grew up in Maryland and spent part of my early life as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic. Those experiences taught me how to stay calm under pressure and showed me the importance of leadership during difficult moments. I later studied psychology at the University of Maryland College Park before earning my Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of the Americas.
Throughout my career, I have embraced new technologies and evolving surgical techniques, especially in robotic surgery. I believe medicine is about more than technical skill. Communication, trust, and preparation are just as important. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my dogs and cooking, which help me maintain balance in a demanding profession.
