Ian Trutt

Ian Trutt is the co-Artistic Director of The Theatere. His show "A Damn Fine Hotel For Your Uppity White Ass" premiered last month to full houses. Before that, he was a Young Playwrights Festival resident at Horizon Theatre and a directing assistant at Berkshire Theater Festival. He graduated from Emory University with honors in playwriting.

In the fall of 2013, he directed his own adaptation of Neil Gaiman's novel Stardust for Starving Artist Productions. He also served as production manager for the same company.

In the summer of 2014, Trutt assisted directed at Berkshire Theater Festival, working alongside Broadway's Tom Hewitt and Bill Bowers (even teaching them to play the dulcimer). Following that, he directed a revue of Irving Berlin songs at the Colonial Theater in Pittsfield, MA.

Ian has worked with many theater professionals, including Vincent Murphy, Jack Dalton, John Ammerman, Blake Beckham, David Crowe, and Michael Evenden.
