Ibraheem Kuvawoga is a Zimbabwean filmmaker, photographer, video editor, graphic designer and creative entrepreneur based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Born on 9 October 1995, he has built a diverse career across film, television, photography, digital media, graphic design, events and creative entrepreneurship.

Born and raised in Bulawayo, Ibraheem lost his mother at the age of seven while he was in Grade Two. His early education included Main Camp in Hwange National Park before he returned to Bulawayo, where he attended Mazwi Primary School in Magwegwe North. He later attended Sikhulile High School in Lobengula West, Bulawayo, from 2009 to 2012.

After completing his secondary education, Ibraheem did not follow a traditional university or college route. He began developing practical skills and working to support himself, including mobile-phone repair, while pursuing his passion for creativity.

His creative journey began with music production. Inspired by his cousin, Calvin K. Tumbo, who introduced him to music production using Fruity Loops, Ibraheem began teaching himself how to make beats. Between 2017 and 2019, he produced music, experimented with loops and collaborated with artists. His journey connected him with creatives including the late Cal_Vin, the Luveve Boy, and Ice King, who created a song using one of Ibraheem's beats.

A major turning point came through filmmaker Jaison Makara, who introduced Ibraheem to professional filmmaking and photography. He developed skills in camera work, video production, editing and graphic design, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.

In 2020, Ibraheem founded Ibrah ProductionsZW, a creative brand focused on photography, videography, editing, graphic design and media production. He also created Ibrah Magazine, an online magazine focused on people, business, lifestyle and entrepreneurship. The magazine became recognised within Bulawayo's creative community and has received several awards.

Ibraheem's television and film career includes editing Amanxeba, working with filmmaker John Mabuyane. His work earned him the award for Best TV Series Editor at the 2023 Zimbabwe Annual Film and Television Awards (ZAFTAs). He also worked as a full-time editor on Maliwe, a documentary that aired on 3KTV on DStv Channel 293. His other productions include Inkaba, where he edited from Season One, Episode Eight through Season Two, Village 4, and the 2023 short film Lights Out by Linos Tapera.

Photography has remained a major part of his career. Ibraheem has worked on projects for the Ministry of Health, Galen House in Bulawayo, and artists including Jah Prayzah and Sandra Ndebele. His work has included live performances and Sandra Ndebele's Denim on Pearls II.

Through Ibrah ProductionsZW, he has also been involved in events and community projects, including Miss Mpopoma, which held editions in 2020 and 2022. In 2025, he worked on Road to PRACA, a documentary project with Home of Arts.

Ibraheem's work and creative opportunities have taken him to Zambia, Namibia, South Africa and Botswana, with South Africa being one of his most frequent destinations. Throughout his career, he has worked with and learned from creatives and industry professionals including Jaison Makara, Blessing Zhou, Percy Soko, Ben Chest, Sandra Ndebele, Keaitse Films, John Mabuyane, Linos Tapera and Happy Mpofu, among many others.

His work and career have also been featured through platforms including ZBC, 3KTV, Khulumani FM and Skype FM.

His awards and recognition include Best TV Series Editor at the 2023 ZAFTAs, Best Online Magazine at the 2023 PRACAs, Best Online Magazine at the 2023 Bulawayo Models Awards, and Best Online Magazine at the 2025 PRACAs.

Currently, Ibraheem works across photography, videography, editing, graphic design, film, digital media and creative production. He is also the personal media photographer for Father Abraham of Forex, the brand ambassador of Weltrade.

With more than 10,000 followers on Ibrah ProductionsZW and more than 3,000 followers across his personal social-media presence, Ibraheem continues to build his career as a multi-disciplinary creative professional.

His journey from music production and self-learning to award-winning television editing, photography, filmmaking, digital publishing and entrepreneurship reflects his commitment to creativity, persistence and continuous growth. Through Ibrah ProductionsZW, his vision is to build a recognised creative brand, tell meaningful stories, showcase talent and create opportunities for creatives in Zimbabwe and beyond.

His journey is still being written.
