Ibrahim Cin

Ibrahim holds BA degree in Economics. After working as a project manager and business developer in private companies in Calgary, he established his own international trade business. He also worked for EPSB (Edmonton Public School Board) as an Ethno-Cultural Advisor.
After serving as an active volunteer for many years, in 2010 he was appointed as the executive director of the Edmonton chapter of Intercultural Dialogue Institute (IDI), a non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to increasing cross-cultural communication and facilitating understanding activities between separate parties. These activities include collaborative information sessions on behalf of organizations, study tours, cultural exchanges among other things.
Ibrahim is a consummate professional and has led many study tours and delegations to Turkey. He is a dedicated volunteer with many social justice causes and as such was the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, presented to him by the Governor General in 2012. Previously, Ibrahim was engaged as a Media Coordinator for Amnesty International, bringing light to Human Rights issues facing the Turkish people.
