The winner of the African Leadership Top Award 'Outstanding Mentor', Ida Ng'ang'a, champions Sustainable Development initiatives, provides technical expertise, and connects partners and funders to aid this process, for the Regional Consortium of Experts for Development. FOCUS: Policy & Sustainability, ICT solutions, professional management and youth/women skills development.

She acts as consulting advisor to government, NGOs, civil society and private sector in these key areas.

She is extremely passionate about tech and believes that it is the best catalyst for assured impact.

She is the former Chair for Outreach for Kenya | Internet Society and currently Africa Code Ambassador, Cape Town Science Centre/UNESCO/SAP. She also leads Internet for Education conversations globally for the Internet Society.

She is a MARA MENTOR and her ultimate purpose is to enable, empower and inspire the next generation of African leaders. Therefore, on a personal level, she focuses on mentoring youth in learning institutions & community highlighting how ICT affects SDGs eg gender, climate change, peace & entrepreneurship as well as being an integral part of the 'Be Prepared' #internet4Dev Initiative, a campaign for girls’ education in digital literacy & online safety.

She has thousands of 'mentees' under her wing (some of them leading as many as 100,000 youth)
