Realized in 2006, IdeaBuyer.com serves as an effective platform for inventors to sell and license intellectual property to leading consumer product companies and entrepreneurs.

The concept was drawn after our founder became aware of the great disconnect between IP and commercialization including the time,cost, and failure rate for inventors trying to get their products to market. With experience in helping to make other marketplaces more efficient in past ventures, he made it his mission to increase technological commercialization by creating an online marketplace that brought the best minds and companies together to create win-win transactions.

After spending much of late 2006 and early 2007 developing a network of corporations who regularly purchase intellectual property and building an online platform for inventors to showcase their patents for sale to interested buyers, the site was launched in June of 2007. We are continuing to grow our relationships with companies seeking new products and inventors, universities, and corporations who are looking to sell or license intellectual property.
