Hello, my name is Idiane Marie. I was raised with a single mother in a all women family. The women in my family all ended up dropping out of school, so I don't really have anyone at home to ask for advice to about school. But, because of this, I am very dedicated to setting an example for everyone in my family. I want to be the first female in my family to walk across a stage and recieve a high school diploma.
Ever since middle school, I have been in Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a program in school that helps me develop new skills to use in a University. It also helps me understand what is to come after high school.
The Spring of 2013 I was accepted to the Upward Bound Program (UBP) in the University of South Florida (USF). This program reaches out to high school students, providing them with an insight of what they would like to do after graduation.
Right now I am in my Sophmore year in high school and working on going off to a Univeristy to major in Psychology, and minor in Education.
