Research interests include psychiatric assessment, outcomes of mental health and substance abuse services, patient-centered care, racial/ethnic/gender disparities in health, performance measurement in mental health care, family stress and coping in chronic mental illness, integrating technology to improve health care.

Mental health evaluation including psychiatric patient outcomes, perceptions of care, Joint Commission Core psychiatric measures; Advanced statistical analysis including Structural Equation Modeling using SPSS, STATA, LISREL, AMOS; teaching experience in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work and Research Methods, Statistics and Design.

Charity and community service (www.agapepartners.org): family seminars, counseling, research, publications, and seminars for the last 15 years. Editor of Strangers in a Foreign Land, which takes an honest look at various social and mental health issues within the South Asian community in the United States. Spoken at national and international conferences in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and India.
