I Didn’t Think It Could Happen To Me:

A Website and Animations to Create Awareness About Male Breast Cancer

The website is currently under construction and should be completed some time in December, 2019.

This site is being created as part of my Capstone Project for my Master of Liberal Arts in in Digital Media Design from Harvard University Extension School,.

My goal is to raise awareness about Male Breast Cancer. While men comprise only 1% of all breast cancer patients annually, men generally have a poorer outcome as they tend to ignore symptoms and do not seek treatment early:

I chose this project after my husband was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. He ignored his symptoms for almost three years. When I asked him why he didn’t see his doctor sooner he told me “I didn’t think it could happen to me”.
