Researcher, Educator, and Administrator
Welcome! My name is Oyeyemi Ifeoluwa Bamidele, and I am a Ph.D. researcher in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. I study how language shapes identity and learning, with a focus on bilingualism, immigrant multilingual learners, and the processes involved in second language acquisition.
My research explores the interaction between cognitive factors, sociocultural influences, and educational practices, particularly in vocabulary development and multilingual classrooms. I also work in language assessment, translanguaging pedagogy, and inclusive teaching, with a strong interest in how learning environments support equity and belonging.
Beyond research, I enjoy writing about language and education. You can read more of my reflections and work on my blog. Feel free to click the button above to explore!
