A veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces, Iftach Jacob now pursues interests in fitness and sports. He closely follows soccer and considers himself to be a fan of the French national team, which celebrated its first World Cup win in 1998. Iftach Jacob keeps a constant eye on the statistics and continuing careers of many European players, including former stars Diego Simeone and Pep Guardiola, who now coach Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, respectively, as well as Xavier “Xavi” Hernández and Andrés Iniesta, outstanding midfielders for FC Barcelona and members of the Spanish national team.

Iftach Jacob also enjoys traveling and has visited a number of destinations around the world, including Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East, as well as North America and the Caribbean. He particularly enjoys dining out in such vibrant world cities as Amsterdam, New York City and Tel-Aviv.

An active donor to the community as well, Iftach Jacob contributes to such medical organizations as the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. In addition, he supports Run with Israel, an event sponsored by the United Jewish Appeal.
