Igor Arapov

Igor Vitaliyovych Arapov (born 30 September 1990, Dnipro, Ukraine) is an independent academic researcher in trading psychology and behavioral finance, a practising trader since 2013, published author, and trading educator. He specialises in the Wyckoff Method, volume analysis, Smart Money concepts, and cognitive biases of retail traders.
Education and background
Arapov graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. He holds the title of Candidate Master of Sport in chess, achieved at the age of 14.
Trading career and education platform
Since 2013 he has been actively trading on financial markets. For approximately six years he worked as a financial analyst at a major forex broker, training retail clients in professional trading methodology. In 2020 he founded arapov.trade — a completely free educational platform with no paywalls or registration. It currently contains 151+ articles in Ukrainian, Russian and English, organised into nine thematic categories: Smart Money Concepts, Volume Analysis and Wyckoff Method, Technical Analysis, Fundamental Analysis, Cryptocurrency, Trading for Beginners, Trader's Glossary, Trading Psychology, and Practical Examples.
Published works
Arapov is the author of a nine-book trading series published in three languages (Ukrainian, Russian, English) with official ISBN registration through Bowker USA and DOI registration via CERN/Zenodo. The Ukrainian and English editions are physically held in the collections of the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. He is also the author of the full open textbook «Основи трейдингу» on Wikibooks (Wikimedia Foundation) and is listed as an author on Open Library.
