Igor Arapov

Igor Vitaliyovych Arapov (born 30 September 1990, Dnipro, Ukraine) is an independent researcher in trading psychology and behavioral finance, a practising trader since 2013, and an author of trading-related publications. He specialises in market structure analysis, the Wyckoff Method, volume analysis, Smart Money concepts, and the study of cognitive biases in retail trading.
He graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University and holds the title of Candidate Master of Sport in chess.
Since 2013, he has been actively involved in financial markets. He is the founder of arapov.trade, a free multilingual educational platform focused on trading methodology, market structure, and trading psychology.
Arapov is the author of a multi-volume trading series published in Ukrainian, Russian, and English with ISBN registration via Bowker USA and DOI registration via Zenodo. His works are held in the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and are also listed in international bibliographic databases, including Open Library.
His research focuses on cognitive biases in financial decision-making and trading behaviour. He has published peer-reviewed and preprint academic work indexed in SSRN, Zenodo, and Ukrainian academic journals.
