Timothy Iinuma

Aloha! My name is Timothy but I prefer Timmy. I grew up from Honolulu, Hawaii and yes, I surf. I enjoy surfing because it is a great workout and the water feels amazing! When I surf at Waikiki Beach, all the surfers call me “Duke” in reference to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku. It is a great feeling being called that. I felt honored! Sadly, my alarm woke me up and I realized it was just a dream.

I also enjoy hiking and camping because of my background as an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I like to hike the beautiful trails in Manoa and for some odd reason I tend to lose my sense of direction and I end up in California.

I love history and if you were to ask me how the pyramids were built, I would most likely say aliens.

I am very fortunate to have many awesome friends in my life. A good friend will bail you out of jail. An awesome friend will be next to you saying, “damn, we screwed up!”

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
A: Speak Japanese in Korean.

What is your favorite movie?
A: I think it was Lord of the Rings. It was about crazy monsters and stuff, you know, like vulcans and Wookiees and all that other good stuff. The story's kind of plain. It's about this guy named Frodo who defeats this Klingon named Voldemort who works for Skynet.
