John Shea

John Shea is the Director of Network Infrastructure Engineering at Smoothstone IP Communications. His responsibilities include engineering new services and day to day oversight of the backbone and core network infrastructures as well as the systems operations group. John has 14 years of engineering, operational and managerial experience in the information technology field specializing in networks with greater than 2000 clients. Prior to joining Smoothstone IP Communications John was employed at the 9 largest cable MSO in the United States building infrastructures to provide services including voice and data and delivering them to residential and commercial customers. John is a graduate of The University of Louisville as well as being professionally certified by Cisco Systems for Design and Service Provider Networks.
