Brand Manager and Innovative Thinker in Nigeria

Ikechukwu Iyk-Onumah is a Brand Manager, Innovative Strategist and Leadership Enthusiast with experience working with Reckitt, Nigerian Prize for Leadership, and the Institute for National Transformation.

As a graduate of Biochemistry, his desire to impact society through Innovation led him to participate and eventually lead Nigeria's Team LAIVELI to the first ever Reckitt Global Challenge held in Dubai in 2017 where Nigeria's Business Idea was selected as part of the Winning Ideas.
In 2019, he tutored Nigeria's winning Team AVANT GARDE (an outstanding all-female team) which finished as First Runners-up among 20 participating countries at the Grand Finale held in the UK.

His experience as a Brand Manager began while still a Management Trainee with the Fabric & Aircare brands, and later on, he led Dettol Hand Sanitizer and the Healthcare brands managing a total of 9 brands within his period at the company. He currently holds a Certificate in Strategic Marketing from Lagos Business School.

Ikechukwu's desire to understand Leadership brought him an august opportunity to participate in the Protégé Leadership Programme of the Nigerian Prize for Leadership (NPL) and currently, he is fostering his skills through his interests in Disruptive Innovation, and Agribusiness.

As a pioneer Fellow of the Nigerian Prize for Leadership (fNPL), Ikechukwu Iyk-Onumah is geared towards projects that promote a strategic understanding of today's youths, and engage them in personal and societal transformation.
