Since 1977 serves as an editorial staff member in "Haaretz". For 7 years was in charge of Tel-Aviv desk and a City Editor, and latter served for ten years as a political writer and editor. For the past three years, holds the position of the senior journalist of Haaretz, and in charge of Tourism and Aviation Desk. At the same time writes columns and articles to the weekend magazine of the paper,on various topics like Computers, Hobbies and History. During his long time journalism work as a political and tourism writer, made deep connections in both fields. On the top of his Journalism work, Mr. Shchori specializes in the research of Eretz Israel, and the History of the Jewish people. since 1979 his research involves the history of Tel-Aviv. In 1982 graduated University of Tel Aviv (B.A) In 1989 (M.A). At the present time completes his P.H.D. His long time Journalism work and research, in the history of Tel-Aviv, brought him several very important honorary prizes: "Communication prize" from the "Internal Ministry" (1986), "Preze Naftalie" prize from "Municipality Of Tel-Aviv (1993), and The "Histadrut" prieze (1994).
