Hello, I’m Aliyaan. I’m a linguist living in Germany. I am a fan of linguistics, technology, travel, and programming. I’m also interested in education and innovation. You can read my articles with a click on the button above.
To know Linguistics including semantics, phonology, word structure, morphology or universal grammar, you can check my website. For any support to get help about linguistics, you can also knock me at [email protected]. Thanks.
When I was a student at my university I choose Linguistics as my subject as I love to discover the old history and I think it is the best way. Now I am working as Applied Linguist in the Computational Linguistics major.
In my leisure time, I study Ecology as well. It helps to join with nature. Not only ecology, but I also research data for defining the environment and climate change.
"The above blog is specially designed for those who love and want to know linguistic study. "Introduction to Linguistics" is a compulsory subject for the students of most of the university. It is my endeavor to help the beginners to learn linguistics with proper understanding. In this book, I have tried to explain the basic concepts of language, linguistics, phonetics, phonology, morphology, sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics.
This blog has seven main categories and each category has an exercise part with it which will help the learners to have idea about their question pattern. Difficult terms are explained with examples, graphs, charts, and diagrams and it will make the concepts easier to be comprehended. The blog also contains a list of linguistic acronyms with their elaboration, and a chart containing a brief description of life and works of notable linguists. And a bibliography is also attached in order to help learners in their further study on the subject.
Linguistics is a science and I hope that this book will help the learners to learn linguistics without feeling it as a mere exam-based boring subject; rather, if they use the book meticulously they will discover it as a path to explore the mystery of how we produce sounds, how we acquire our mother tongue, how we learn a second or foreign language, how our brain is involved in sound production, how language and our society are interrelated and so on. If the bok is carefully read, I believe, it will be successful in developing the learners' interest to know more and more about language and linguistics.
