Association for the Advocacy of Child Support

AACS is anorganization devoted to promoting the well-being of families and children byadvocating for the enforcement of court-ordered child support, educatingsingle-parent families about their rights and resources available to them, andby educating the public and policy makers regarding the economic and socialeffects of prolific non-payment of child support.

GOALS

1. More consistent and pervasive enforcement ofchild support laws and rulings.

2. Single parents’ awareness of their rights andthe resources available to them to secure child support payments that have beenawarded by the courts but are not being paid.

3. Public awareness of the social and economiceffects of flagrant and pervasive non-payment of child support on children,families, schools, communities, and the state.

4. Stronger, more effective child support laws withstricter penalties for flagrant non-payment.

5. Empower single parents to become moreindependent by pursuing higher education.

6. Enable single parents to become more powerfulself-advocates.
