Ilmira Pazailova
Student, Accounting, and Business Administration in Buffalo , New York
I’m Ilmira Pazailova, an accounting student at SUNY Plattsburgh and a graduate of SUNY Erie Community College, where I earned an A.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
Originally from Ukraine, I previously studied Social Science and worked as a social worker, supporting individuals and helping them navigate challenging situations. After moving to the United States, I began building a new academic and professional path in business and accounting. This experience strengthened my resilience, independence, adaptability, and commitment to creating a meaningful career.
I currently work in accounting, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, communicating with customers and vendors, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with daily accounting operations. Through my professional experience, I have developed strong skills in financial processing, organization, confidentiality, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Leadership and student engagement are also important to me. I previously served as Student Government Association President at SUNY Erie Community College, where I represented students, supported campus initiatives, organized events, and collaborated with college leadership. I am now part of the leadership team for the SUNY Plattsburgh School of Business & Economics Online Club, supporting digital communication, social media, student engagement, and the club’s online community.
I am passionate about accounting, business, technology, and innovation. I view accounting as more than working with numbers—it is a foundation for trust, accuracy, transparency, and responsible decision-making within an organization.
My long-term goal is to continue advancing my education in accounting, pursue graduate studies, become a Certified Public Accountant, and contribute to ethical and technology-driven financial environments.
Outside of academics and work, I enjoy traveling, swimming, connecting with people from different backgrounds, and learning about new developments in business and technology.
I welcome opportunities to connect with professionals, students, and organizations that value leadership, continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
