Hi,

Ilya Movshovich, is the Managing Partner at Volk Consulting.

Getting involved in a start-up is no walk in the park. Anyone that knows from experience, will share the same concerns as me. It’s hard. Quite simply put, there’s no money involved for the first 2 years (For most) and it’s unlikely that you will really see any return after 3 years either.

A start-up can be very rewarding in the long run, but keep in mind it WILL be a long run.

In January of 2013 Ilya Movshovich decided to start working on building his own startup.

“I slept like a baby when I became a start-up entrepreneur. I woke up every two hours crying” - Ilya Movshovich

You need to accept that you won’t always make the right decisions, that you’ll screw up royally sometimes – understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.

The nature of being an entrepreneur means that you fully embrace ambiguity and are comfortable with being challenged regularly. Choosing this career path is completely irrational because the odds of succeeding are dismal, but most succeed because of their unwavering belief, laser focus on delivering and persistence.

Like Vince Lombardi always said "Winners never quit and quitters never win."
