Allen D. Patterson retired from the Federal Government in June of 2015 after nearly thirty-eight years of service. In that time he served in duty stations in Alaska, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.

When not writing, he spends his time with grandchildren, working on his street-rod project car, skiing when the lifts are open, and dabbles in amateur combat robotics. Presently he resides in Aurora CO with his wife Deborah and his two cats, Thor and Freya.
