IMAN BOOKS (the publishing house that faith built) was founded by Jade D. Banks in Harrisburg, PA in 1999 and established its second office in Harlem / NewYork City in 2000.

Iman Books, comprised of a multigenerational collective of professionals dedicated to excellence in publishing and integrity of spirit, consists of individuals for whom self-expression is a burning desire. We are writers,photographers, illustrators and graphic designers who have chosen to adhere to our lives’ passions and have channeled our energies into fulfilling those purposes.

Iman Books specializes in publishing works by the underheard populace (people of color, women, the physically challenged and others marginalized by society). Well-written items that are audacious, edgy and reflect life’s astonishing truths are of particular interest!
