Imani Anderson

I’m a Food Safety Specialist living in Houston, TX. I am native to Dallas, TX where I spent a few years working in the food science industry as a Quality Assurance Assistant and in Food Research and Development. I received my Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology at Texas A&M University (College Station) with a focus in food industry and business administration. I later received my Master of Science in Educational Administration at Prairie View A&M University with emphasis on African American students and their likelihood to choose careers in Agriculture. I later became a Registered Sanitarian with the State of Texas. My involvement in IFT, and the National and Texas Environmental Health Associations have allowed me to stay abreast to and adapt to the changes happening in the world of food safety.
