Software Engineer and Network Engineer in Ariana, Tunisie

I decided that I wanted to be an engineer while I was still in elementary school. I was very interested in how things worked around me, and trying to fix any broken things in my house. But even in high school where I was praised for my academics successes and brilliance especially in mathematics, my friends and relatives were still against the whole idea, even when I had my driving license from the first time, in less than two weeks, people were very surprised, saying that I was just lucky. Coming from a small town in a small country in Africa, it has been an ongoing issue to convince the world that a person, let alone a woman, can make it to one of the best engineering school in Tunisia or even to pass Competitive entry test to engineering schools ranked 52 by 2050 . After, I realized, engineers are often stereotyped as being human calculators, unreceptive to the social parameters surrounding the project at hand, that was not the case in my engineering school where you must have not only a strong foundation in algebra, calculus and general programming skills and software development fundamentals and electrical knowledge but also an ability to work well with others and to manage stressful situation. Being analytical, creative, methodical problem solver with excellent concentration and math skills was not enough, I learned how to be a good speaker, to manage my projects perfectly and to communicate in other languages English, French and Arabic.
