It came to my attention that I had to write an about page. I was not sure how to do that so I researched it. First thing I learned is that this about page, is not about me or ISG, it is really about you (yes you the reader). That makes sense, considering that Imperfectly Soul’s Genius is, in a roundabout way, about YOU! There are a few things I would like you to take away from your visit here.

Encouragement, I talk quite a bit about different struggles that we go through, and I hope that in reading and listening to what I have to say you can walk away with the feeling that you are never alone.

Inspiration, one of the core values of ISG is to inspire people, inspire you to make a positive impact in the world.

Motivation, we all have those days when we just need a push! My hope is that ISG can provide you with that push when you need it most. I want, what I have to say, to motivate you to make a difference, in your life, the lives of others, and the universe!

A different perspective, you might read posts on this site and not agree with anything I have to say, that is fine. But at least you can get a feel of another person’s perspective and respect it, and if you say, “Soul’s Genius, I want to have healthy debate on the way you view things,” I am all for it! Let’s debate away!

Entertainment, I do not write for entertainment, but my writing can be entertaining, at least that is what I think. I don’t want you to surf through the website and feel like you shouldn’t laugh at anything. I hope I can say something that gives you a nice little chuckle, or makes you laugh out loud in the middle of a boring meeting, and if your boss asks you what you’re laughing about you can tell her/him that you were reading the blog of this 20/21-year-old( depending on when you read this) college graduate, or almost college graduate (also depending on when you’re reading this), and you laughed because it inspired some idea that would be of aid to the company, at least I hope it does.

I created ISG in May 2013 because, I have always been a relatively quiet person, afraid to voice my opinions and say what I think. College has slowly changed that and now I spend my time frustrating people because sometimes I really do say what I think, and not everyone likes that. Last year, I made the decision to take my writing more seriously so I re-branded the blog and myself and voila, Imperfectly Soul’s Genius was born!
