Imran FIrdaus is an Independent film-maker,Researcher,Film Critic and Video Artist from Dhaka,Bangladesh. He completed his master’s degree in linguistics from University of Dhaka. His short video work selected in ‘Videooooh’ exhibition from July 23-August 3, 2012 hosted by the Slade School of Fine Art in collaboration with The One Minutes foundation, Amsterdam and deBuren, Brussels. After London, the exhibition traveled to Amsterdam, Brussels, Sao Paulo and Xiamen. In 2011-2012 another video art Street seller selected in ‘no.12 city one minutes’ a monthly selection of 60-second video art by The One Minute Foundation. The selection went on at Amsterdam Museum, Amsterdam and Stavanger/Oslo, Norway, and curated by Heiner Holtappels.He also jointly coordinated 40 years of Video Art in Germany: 1963 to 2004, November 30-December 2, 2008 with Goethe Institute, Dhaka , Bangladesh. He traveled to Indonesia as a scholarship student for studying Indonesian Language and culture.He frequently worked with UNICEF,BBC,OXFAM GB and other organizations as a researcher and audio-visual consultant. He was the festival director and organizer of International Inter University Short Film Festival organized by Dhaka University Film Society in collaboration with Goethe Institute,Berlin Talent Campus,Future shorts,Balkan Buro and European film Academy from 2007-2009.
