Imran Ali Sardar
Writer, researcher, and Professor in One Light University
Imran Ali Sardar (Md Imran Sardar) is a visionary educator and scholar who currently serves as a professor at One Light University (OLU). Raised in Bangladesh, Imran was known for his deep curiosity and hunger for knowledge from a young age. His academic journey began with a profound interest in science, philosophy, and technology, eventually leading him to pursue Information and Communication Technology (ICT) studies. He developed a passion for cloud computing and technological innovations, which would later become a cornerstone of his career.
The Quest for Truth
During his early student life, Imran was an agnostic—unsure of the existence of God and deeply skeptical of organized religion. His search for truth led him down various intellectual paths, including deep dives into philosophy and comparative religion. He read widely, influenced by thinkers like Bertrand Russell and other secular philosophers, as well as religious texts like the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. However, Imran’s journey was not just an academic exercise; it was a personal quest to understand the purpose of life and humanity’s place in the universe.
Turning Point: Discovering the Quran
Despite his initial agnosticism, Imran’s thirst for knowledge led him to study the Holy Quran, a text he had previously approached with skepticism. This marked a significant turning point in his life. Through deep reflection and study, he began to recognize the Quran as a source of unparalleled wisdom, offering guidance on not only spiritual matters but also practical aspects of life. Imran came to believe that the Quran, revealed by Allah SWT to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is the ultimate light over darkness—a divine message that could transform both individuals and society.
A Life of Purpose: Founding One Light University
With this newfound conviction, Imran Ali Sardar sought to dedicate his life to sharing the knowledge he had gained. He founded One Light University (OLU), an institution emphasizing the harmony between spiritual and worldly education. The name "One Light" symbolizes the belief that there is one Creator, one divine book (the Quran), and one final messenger (Prophet Muhammad PBUH), offering the ultimate guidance for mankind.
From his early days of doubt and questioning to his role as a professor and leader in both technology and spirituality, Imran’s journey serves as an inspiration for anyone seeking to reconcile modern life with timeless spiritual wisdom.
