Hi! I am a user researcher, and I am passionate about customer driven product design and engineering.
I am an advocate of both quantitative and qualitative research, using mixed methods and triangulating data in studies, because they offer the widest set of tools to answer the questions we have and get insight into user needs and frustrations. There is not such thing as the best method, but rather the best method for the question and the situation we’re in right now.
I am experienced in running complex quantitative studies and analyses, and I love finding the best way to tell the story, whether it’s the right graph or the right relationship insight. I use a variety of tools, from Google sheets, to R.
I am also experienced in running qualitative studies and I enjoy talking to customers directly, running moderated usability studies or doing more long term, rich data projects, such as diary studies. I think it’s important to listen attentively to customers and use empathy to drive product change.
My goal is to make research part of any project and get folks with different roles and points of view to work together on driving product change, because that’s how true innovation is possible. It’s also much more fun!
I am also an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), where I teach user research.
