While her love affair with dance began with Arabic folk dances and traditional belly dance, Inaya has embraced fusion belly dance as a way of celebrating the melding of many cultures and eras into one beautiful, powerful, and at times surreal dance form. There is something both primal and yet meticulously cultivated about the costuming, carriage, and movements of Tribal Fusion dancers that inspire Inaya to reveal her own layers, complexities, and contradictions in her art. Known for her musicality, she loves to gradually unravel a piece of music throughout each performance, bringing audiences on a journey through soundscapes played out on her body.

She has had the privilege of receiving her training at the hands of several local, wonderful Boston teachers as well as many internationally-renowned dancers, primarily Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes.

Inaya currently performs around the Boston area as a soloist and as a member of Vadalna Tribal Dance Company. She was recently selected to perform in the Boston edition of the internationally-touring showcase Bellydance Evolution.
