Inder Phull
I was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1990 and moved to London by 2000 due to tragic circumstances. Since then I have been determined to forge a new path for my family and create an enterprising legacy that lasts for centuries. I had an interview for the Apprentice by the age of 20 and this gave me the confidence to compete with the most successful talent in the UK.
Since then I have been accepted onto an exclusive government backed scheme for entrepreneurs in university and my business concept is now close to a reality.
Smartercus is the future of employability and also a student brand that caters to the younger generation. It is a website that links students with different companies by giving them the chance to solve problems and get noticed.
Growing up in a single parent family I noticed the importance of having guidance in regards to future careers. It was only too late that I realized I was not employable when I decided to take a year out of university. During this year I became a member of the ICAEW working towards an ACA qualification and also realised I had a love for enterprise.
I developed a model for a business empire that began with Smartercus. I am now working on gaining seed funding to help develop a website as well as constantly upgrading my business understanding and networks.
My passion is business but I also find time to express my creativity by making music. I have taught myself piano and guitar as well as music production and enjoy creating something from scratch and working alongside new artists.
