Brought up in working class family and small village. First taste of city life at Bristol Cathedral School. Crossed the pedestrian crossing to work at the City Council. Moved to Rochester City Council to continue my professional accountancy studies. Moved to Cornwall County Council to get into accountancy again from auditing and was invited to develop a Financial Planning process. Used that experience to land a post at Cambridgeshire County Council where life got really interesting due to my association with my boss Jack Barton who let me loose. More to follow.
